Festa de Santa Oliva

A festival in honor of the town’s patron saint, Santa Oliva (Saint Olivia), with different activities scheduled, mainly in the old town center.

On the day of the feast and the local festival, June 10, children's games and a hot chocolate party are organized in a Santa Oliva street brightly decorated with flowers, as well as music in Porxo Park and a formal mass in the parish church, officiated by priests who live in or are connected in some way with the municipality. One of the most important events of the festival is the traditional floral offering to the saint by local organizations and authorities, accompanied by dances, sardanas, and giants. The procession begins in the Plaça de les Fonts and moves toward the Santa Oliva Gate with a big celebration that attracts a large crowd.

It is also a day of tribute to the oldest person and the youngest person in the neighborhood. However, other events take place in the days leading up to the festival, such as a go-cart race, an artist marathon, children’s shows, concerts, “habanera” sing-alongs, fire runs, a public dinner for the local residents and the Fira de l'Oli, which fill the municipality with a festive air.
